Cancellation Tiers
Each operator sets their own cancellation policy. The policy is clearly displayed on every listing before you book.
FLEXIBLE
- Full refund up to 24 hours before the session
- 50% refund within 24 hours
- No refund for no-shows
MODERATE
- Full refund up to 7 days before the session
- 50% refund between 2-7 days
- No refund within 48 hours
STRICT
- Full refund up to 14 days before
- 50% refund between 7-14 days
- No refund within 7 days

KITEATLAS's unique weather protection for riders:
How it works
- If average wind speed is below 12 knots during your booked session window, you qualify for a weather refund
- Wind data is verified automatically using Open-Meteo historical records for the specific spot and time
- Eligible riders receive a full refund or free rebooking within 30 days
- Claims must be submitted within 48 hours of the session
- Applies to all bookings made through KITEATLAS with operators who opt into the guarantee
Safari Cancellations
- 30+ days before departure: Full refund minus deposit
- 14-30 days: 50% refund
- Less than 14 days: No refund (operator discretion for rebooking)
- Weather cancellation by captain: Full refund
How Refunds Work
Refunds are processed back to your original payment method within 5-10 business days. KITEATLAS's service fee is refundable for weather-related cancellations only.
Disputes
If you disagree with a cancellation decision, you can open a dispute through your booking page. KITEATLAS mediates between riders and operators using verified weather data and booking records.
